JIM BYRNES is an award-winning blues musician, a seasoned actor (Wiseguy and Highlander series, and his national variety show, The Jim Byrnes Show), and a champion of charity work. For nearly fifty years he’s crooned, drawled, belted, hollered and sweet talked more songs into a microphone than most people ever get to hear in a single lifetime. His evocative, smoky vocals reveal a truth that doesn’t come overnight. The sheer joy you can hear in the music he creates is a reason to celebrate Jim Byrnes as a living musical treasure.

Despite a life-changing accident in 1972, he has continued performing, winning multiple Maple Blues Awards, WCMAs, Junos, Canadian Folk Music Awards, and enthralling audiences on screen and on stage. He is also a BC Entertainment Hall of Fame inductee and recently invested with the Order of Canada, acknowledging the impact he has had on the Canadian arts scene as well as for his philanthropic work, supporting many charitable organizations and causes, including health promotion, homelessness reduction, addiction care, gang recruitment prevention, and music and art therapy.
