After a decade of making music for his legions of fans, Vancouver beach rocker DANIEL WESLEY; “Ooo Ooh”, “Shake”, “It’ll Be You”, “Pilgrimage” and “Drunk + Stoned”; is still going strong and refuses to slow down. On the heels of the career-spanning release “Live at the Commodore Ballroom” (2017) and “I Am Your Man” (2016), on Daniel’s own label, Beachgrove Records, Daniel will be playing new material at his live shows before he and the band head back into the studio to record what will become their next album.

With the philosophy, “If making music isn’t about having fun, what’s the point in doing it?”, DANIEL WESLEY took to it like a duck to water. From singing in elementary school choirs and being part of ukulele and concert bands in high school to band member, he formed his first band, The Dropouts, at age 15 and later fronted General Mayhem, Audiophile, and Replica. Influenced by Mason Jennings, Bob Marley, The Beatles and Pearl Jam, Wesley’s slow burning west coast feel has evolved with fatherhood, the lessons he’s learned along the way and a willingness to apply them to his music. With the addition of an array of musical styles to which fans have become accustomed there is now unlimited potential in the studio.

“I Am Your Man”, with the tracks “Beautiful”, “Speed Bump”, “So True” and “Shake”, is essentially Wesley returning to his natural strengths as a groove-based acoustic troubadour. What comes across most vividly on the record, as long-time fans will surely note, is the balance Wesley has found in his life both on and off stage. Stay tuned for the new music as it becomes available, in anticipation of the pending release of Wesley’s 8th studio album.
