Rock.It Boy Entertainment presents THE ZIMMERMEN – A CELEBRATION OF BOB DYLAN’S MUSIC Thursday, September 22 at the Cascades Casino Resort Summit Theatre in Langley. Tickets are available for $32.50 (plus Facility Fee and Service Charges) at Casino Guest Services (604-530-2211) and www.ticketweb.ca.

With five decades in the music industry Bob Dylan is one of the most prolific and influential artists in history. He has amassed a sizable catalog of hits including “Blowin’ In The Wind”, “The Times They Are a-Changin”, “Like A Rolling Stone”, “Shelter From The Storm”, “Rainy Day Women #12 and 35”, “Lay, Lady Lay”, “Positively 4th Street”, “Tangled Up In Blue”, “All Along The Watchtower”, “Mr. Tambourine Man” and of course “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door”.

A play on Bob Dylan’s birth name, Robert Zimmerman, THE ZIMMERMEN deliver a broadly manifest celebration of the Pop Icon’s music that defined an era. In homage to The Voice of a Generation, THE ZIMMERMEN embrace his ever-changing, chameleon-like approach to songwriting and performance. Group founder Dr. Lindsay Mitchell (Seeds of Time, PRISM) has convened a “superhuman crew” of musician/singers: Jim Foster (Fosterchild), Willie MacCalder (Powder Blues), Pete Sweetzir (Fosterchild, Long John Baldry), Leroy Stephens (Cement City Cowboys, Blue Northern), and Leonard Saidman (Sons of Adam).

“We’re not a tribute band in the conventional sense,” says Mitchell. “None of us is dressing up and pretending to be Bob. It’s just six seasoned professionals playing Dylan songs with honesty, enthusiasm and respect.”
