Provocative, hard-edged and explicit; that is Canadian Icon CAROLE POPE. She is a singer-songwriter extraordinaire and goddess of New Wave rock influenced by the likes of The Beatles, The Everly Brothers and David Bowie. Carole rose to fame as the leather-clad dominatrix of ROUGH TRADE with #1 singles “High School Confidential” and “All Touch”. Her solo career has produced the singles “Nothing But A Heartache/I’m Not Blind”, “Johnny Marr”, “Shining Path/Tell Me” and “Viral 01/Viral 02”.

The exceptional musical talents of CAROLE POPE have not gone unnoticed by adoring fans and the industry she has made her home. She won the Juno Award for Most Promising Female Vocalist (1981) and subsequent the Juno Award for Best Female Vocalist (1982 and 1983). As the headline member of Rough Trade, Pope picked up a Genie Award (1978) for work on the made-for-TV film One Night Stand. She also added four gold, one platinum and one double platinum album to her roster of awards. In 1997, Pope did the voice for the schoolteacher in the animated version of Pippi Longstocking. In addition she re-recorded the Rough Trade single “High School Confidential” for Queer as Folk (Season 1) and appeared in the Toronto production of The Vagina Monologues (2001) among numerous contributions to the entertainment industry.

His name is RYAN MCMAHON and he is as rock as folk can get before it starts to roll. Another Canadian, Ryan has toured the country 15 times, playing the best & the worst rooms our nation has to offer, sharing the stage with artists ranging from Lisa Loeb to Nickelback. Heavily influenced by Neil Young, Warren Zevon & Eddie Vedder, he also incorporates some good, honest country music, some vintage punk and even some James Brown when the spirit moves him.
With four albums under his belt and a fifth in the works, you might know him for such titles as “Comeback”, “Youngstown”, “All The Good Stories” and “Everyday”. Ryan’s “Wake Up” and Megan McNeil’s “Will To Survive” have been released to help raise money for childhood cancer. Sadly, Megan, an energetic and optimistic youth, lost her battle with cancer.
