One of the world’s premier tribute artists, DAVID JAMES has the stage presence and the characteristic sound of JOHNNY CASH nailed down. With the look, the moves and the sound, he does Johnny proud as he recreates such hits as “Folsom Prison Blues”, “Ring of Fire”, “Hey Porter”, “Rock Island Line”, “Get Rhythm”, “The Long Black Veil”, “Daddy Sang Bass”, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down”, “A Boy Named Sue”, “Man In Black”, “Walk The Line” and “Orange Blossom Special”.

Providing the voice of JOHNNY CASH in the award-winning film “My Father and The Man in Black”, DAVID JAMES proves he is the most authentic JOHNNY CASH tribute artist in the business. A living prodigy to one of history’s true phenomenons, he is almost . . . . . JOHNNY CASH!

In addition to Johnny’s traditional songs DAVID JAMES & BIG RIVER – A Tribute to JOHNNY CASH include Johnny’s crossover songs “Hurt” and “Rusty Cage”. This is a magnificent tribute to the man in black.

A young Johnny Vallis imitated his teacher one day and was sent to the principal’s office. “Why are you here”, asked the principal? Johnny showed him. The principal said, “That’s really good”. Johnny Vallis, the man of many voices, has been imitating people ever since. Johnny made a name for himself with a particular voice.

BUDDY HOLLY was “the single most influential creative force in early Rock n’ Roll”. Tragically, on February 3, 1959 he left us, but his music and will never fade away. This concert marks the 55th anniversary of Buddy’s passing. In his tribute to the Rock icon, Johnny Vallis perfectly portrays both the look and the sound as he rolls out Buddy’s greatest hits; “That’ll Be The Day”, “Words of Love”, “Not Fade Away”, Oh Boy”, “Peggy Sue”, “Maybe Baby”, “Rave On!”, “Heartbeat” and more! With the addition of an upright bass, drums and a second guitar Vallis creates the authentic experience, just like Holly and the boys, playing the vintage instruments with all the spirit of Rock and Roll.

Vicki Pettigrew, Executive Assistant- The Commissionaires says, “Johnny has displayed over and over again a high level of entertainment value . . . proven, capable entertainer and a true gentleman. I highly recommend Johnny Vallis to any group. He is everything you would imagine, you will not be disappointed.” Anne Van Kirk, Executive Assistant to President – Butler Brothers Supplies Ltd adds, “Some of our guests had seen Johnny perform before and were looking forward to the show. Those who hadn’t were surprised by his versatility and professionalism. Many guests came to us afterwards to say how much they had enjoyed the performance. I will invite Johnny Vallis to entertain at other functions given by our Company.
