54-40 is: Neil Osborne, Brad Merritt, Matt Johnson & Dave Genn, one of the most important music groups to emerge from the Canadian cultural landscape. Celebrating their thirty-year anniversary, the band has an unbelievable catalogue of hit songs, including “She La”, “Baby Ran”, “I Go Blind”, “Miss You” and “Ocean Pearl”. Inspired by the punk/new music scene of Vancouver, 54-40 first performed at the dawn of 1981 at the Smilin’ Buddha Cabaret. Their outstanding reputation for their live performances continues today. After 30 years, 16 releases and more than 2000 performances, the secret to 54-40’s longevity is their ability to redefine and reinvent themselves.
