Get ready for NEARLY NEIL AND THE SOLITARY BAND, the internationally acclaimed tribute that has made Vancouver’s Bobby Bruce a headline act on five continents. Dubbed “Nearly Neil” by the Australian press on his first national tour more than 25 years ago, Bobby has never stopped touring – casinos, theatres, cruise ships and stadiums from Kota Kinabalu to the Cayman Islands – bringing Neil Diamond’s rich baritone, swagger and showmanship to a new generation of fans.

Backed by the Solitary Band, the show is entirely live – no lip-syncing, no backing tracks. For more than a decade the band has held down the house gig at Vancouver’s Hard Rock and River Rock Casinos, and together they’ve toured Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, the Cayman Islands and Europe as Nearly Neil and the Solitary Band.

NEARLY NEIL captures Diamond’s rise from the mid-1960s through his landmark 1980 Jazz Singer album, delivering favourites including “Sweet Caroline,” “Cracklin’ Rosie,” “Song Sung Blue,” “Solitary Man,” “Cherry Cherry,” “Forever in Blue Jeans” and “America,” along with deep cuts treasured by longtime fans. Every song is performed with the energy, humour and genuine reverence that has kept Bobby Bruce “in a league of his own” for a quarter century.
