Appearing before sold-out crowds, DAVID JAMES is North America’s favourite JOHNNY CASH tribute act. Taking the stage with his own three-part band, BIG RIVER, James has the stage presence and the characteristic sound of Johnny Cash nailed down. With the look, the moves and the sound, he brings to life five decades of hits such as “Folsom Prison Blues”, “Ring of Fire”, “Hey Porter”, “Rock Island Line”, “Get Rhythm”, “The Long Black Veil”, “Daddy Sang Bass”, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down”, “A Boy Named Sue”, “Man In Black”, “Walk The Line” and his signature piece “Orange Blossom Special” as well as Johnny’s crossover songs “Hurt” and “Rusty Cage”.

Providing the voice of JOHNNY CASH in the award-winning film My Father and The Man in Black, DAVID JAMES proves he is the most authentic JOHNNY CASH tribute artist in the business. A living prodigy to one of history’s true phenomenons, he is . . . . . almost JOHNNY CASH! “It’s not only about the voice”, says Dave. “It’s about living and breathing the man. CHANTAL RICHARD began her professional career in the late 90’s busking on the streets of Vancouver. She recorded and released her debut album Ashes to Water (2004) with Nettwerk songwriter and producer, Sean Eyre. Performing 60 shows in 2 years, Chantal quickly became known for her sweet, powerhouse vocals. With a mainstream appeal coupled to an emotional delivery and honest lyrics she soon found herself opening for 70’s hit makers Air Supply playing such venues as The Centre for Performing Arts and Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Chantal also received airtime on CityTV for her impassioned performance of Little Friend and her remake of the Kansas hit “Dust in the Wind”.

Driven to do what she does best, Chantal joined cover bands Retrosonic, Cash & Carter and The Shagadelics, leading to a performance during BC Lions game half time at BC Place in 2008. That same year saw a move to Nanaimo, Vancouver Island where she fell into popular Top 40 band Cherry Coolaid. CHANTAL RICHARD fabulously fills the role of June Carter in the world class Johnny Cash tribute DAVID JAMES & BIG RIVER.
