COMICS ON THE RUN features Canada’s top comedic talents by showcasing existing stars, discovering up-and-comers, bringing you laughs and much more. Your emcee for this show will be IAN IMRIE with feature comic JUSTIN NICHOL and headliner PATRICK MALIHA.

By day emcee IAN IMRIE is a mild mannered teacher slash businessman, but in his real life he is a veteran of the improvisational venue The Second City and a gifted comedian. He has also appeared in a number of comedic film roles as well as being a familiar face on the small screen. His easy style and perfect timing make him the ideal host.

JUSTIN NICHOL dreamt of becoming a professional athlete, but while playing University Varsity baseball, it became apparent to Justin that, although a talented athlete his grades and less than stellar work ethic would be better suited to comedy. In just a short time, Justin has become a popular, much-sought comic having shared the stage with some of Canada’s greatest comedic talents. He is a regular at the top comedy clubs and was a finalist in The People’s Champ of Comedy – the country’s biggest independent comedy contest – and the winner of The Great Laugh Off.

PATRICK MALIHA holds the world record for most impressions in one minute, eclipsing the inimitable Dana Carvey. His act has been described as Ray Romano meets a 21st Century Don Rickles. The consummate professional, Patrick has headlined and emceed at a multitude of comedy clubs and festivals across the continent. He was voted Favourite Vancouver Comedian (2008, 2009) in the prestigious Georgia Straight ‘Best Of’ Awards, has been featured on CBC radio, XM and Sirius satellite radio and his one-hour Comedy Now special aired in the fall of 2011 on both CTV and The Comedy Network.

Patrick co-hosted The Afternoon Buzz, weekdays on Talk 1410 Radio, earning the award for Favourite Afternoon Radio Show. Love of television and film led him to become a voting member of the Vancouver Film Critics Circle, one half of “The Movie Guys” on TV’s Urban Rush, Head Writer and Producer for the KVOS television show “Off Centre Television” host of “UR at The Movies” and the syndicated show “The New Driver’s Seat”.

No matter how you slice it PATRICK MALIHA is very funny, although according to his mom, is “Funnier when he doesn’t swear so much.”
