COMICS ON THE RUN features Canada’s top comedic talents by showcasing existing stars, discovering up-and-comers, bringing you laughs and much more. Your emcee for this show will be IAN IMRIE with feature comic JOEY COMMISSO and headliner BYRON BERTRAM.

By day emcee IAN IMRIE is a mild mannered teacher slash businessman, but in his real life he is a veteran of the improvisational venue The Second City and a gifted comedian. He has also appeared in a number of comedic film roles as well as being a familiar face on the small screen. His easy style and perfect timing make him the ideal host.

Stand up comedian and wrestling historian JOEY COMMISSO is soft spoken and real. His forte is making us laugh at the everyday things we all face. He delivers his brand of stand up as if he is your best friend or the guy next door. Joey has performed on stages across the country.

Like bird flu on an international flight BYRON BERTRAM is one of those comics who travels well. From a mincing metrosexual Vancouver crowd to rural puppy-thumping Alberta, he is undoubtedly one of the most versatile, engaging and entertaining comics in Canada today.

From pop culture to rural Canada Byron treats it all with the illuminating light of his rampaging narcissistic neurosis. In short, he makes us laugh as if on command.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Byron first took to the mic in 1997. Since then he has developed into a crowd favorite appearing on stages in the U.K, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Holland, Japan and the USA, where he has worked with the likes of Zack Galifinakis, Eddie Izzard, Colin Mochare and Flight of the Concords. Bertram also has a flourishing acting career starring in Fox Television’s Alcatraz; Once Upon A Time with Robert Carlyle, plus a role in the Tim Burton blockbuster Big Eyes.
